ZEITGENOSSEN
Panorama
series of 8 images, 1999
The basic idea underlying the series of
images is already contained in the first image. In it,
three-dimensional image constructs are combined in a panorama
of possibilities or, in the words of Robert Simanowski:
”Look carefully. The
transition is there, where the exterior wall suddenly acts as
if it is a window with a view. As becomes apparent when the
cycle has been once run through, looking through has long
become looking inside, and just as with M.C. Escher, one has
hardly noticed it.”
